5 ad tips backed by science
Real research, not guesswork
These tips are based on how our eyes and brains work—so if you're making ads, might as well use the hacks baked into our heads.
1. Avoid the bottom right corner
Studies show it’s a visual dead zone. Our eyes rarely land there, especially on mobile. Don’t hide your CTA, product, or offer in that corner.

2. Left side = spotlight. Place your key element there.
Humans generally follow a left-to-right scanning pattern. Your hook or eye-catching element should be on the left quadrant.

3. Use directional cues like arrows or gaze
Our brains follow arrows and where people are looking. If someone in your image is looking at your CTA or product, the viewer will too.

4. Adding small human details grabs attention
Humans are wired to notice other humans. When we see any human details in an ad, our brains automatically pay more attention because it feels more personal and relatable.

5. Create a triangle with your elements.
People’s eyes are naturally drawn to triangular shapes, even in a layout with multiple elements. Arrange your elements (text, CTA, image) in a triangular composition to guide the viewer’s eye naturally from one point to the next.
