30-Second Storytelling: Crafting Effective Paid TikTok Ads
Hook, Tell, Convert. You only need 30 seconds to shine!
You don’t need a long story to make an impact—especially on TikTok. In fact, the shorter, the better! If you’re not sure where to start, no stress. Here are a few simple frameworks to help you say what you need to in way less time.
1. Problem–Solution–Action
Problem: Start with a relatable pain point.
Solution: Highlight how you solve it.
Action: Prompt the audience to act.
Example:
“Struggling to keep plants alive? This self-watering pot is a game changer! Click to grab yours now.”
2. Relatable–Reveal–Reward
Relatable: Begin with something your audience connects with.
Reveal: Introduce the unexpected twist.
Reward: End with a benefit or takeaway.
Example:
“Tired of warm water ruining your day? Same here. This bottle keeps drinks icy for 24 hours. Stay cool and eco-friendly—get yours now!"
3. Shock–Intrigue–Solve
Shock: Open with a jaw-dropping fact or stat.
Intrigue: Tease more details to keep them hooked.
Solve: Provide an answer or solution.
Example:
“Indoor air is 5x more polluted than outdoors. And you’re breathing it in every day. This purifier cleans 99.9% of it—problem solved!"
4. Before–Journey–After
Before: Show the "before" situation.
Journey: Highlight the transformation process.
After: Reveal the amazing outcome.
Example:
“Here’s how I turned yellow teeth white: apply the kit, wait 5 minutes, and boom—bright smile!”
"Your ad needs to speak louder than the ticking clock.”
